South African looking to start the process of working in New York...is it even possible?

Hi

I am a fully qualified Physiotherapist and for the past 3 years I have been working in an extremely busy and well accredited Physiotherapy practice in one of Africa's top hospitals. I have done further courses in mostly sports physio including dry needling and strapping. I would love to join my fiance in New York, but I have no idea how to start this process or if it is even a possibility. If anyone could assist with regards where I can start looking or advice/hints/tips I'd really appreciate it!
