AHP Team Lead Interview Questions
Hi,
I have been looking at applying for a Team Lead post in Palliative Care.
I have overlap clinical experience working in other areas of health as a Physiotherapist but have never interviewed for a band 7 post before. I would be really grateful if anyone could share their experience of interviews for team lead positions/examples of questions asked, even if these are more generic and not specifically for a hospice setting.
Questions I have been asked for previous band 6 posts include:
Relevant Experience & what you could bring to a post
Strengths/ Weaknesses
Examples of managing a more difficult situation
Examples of service development
Examples of supervising other staff
Knowledge of relevant legislation
I am not fully sure what other issues might come up for a band 7 post but any guidance appreciated or shared experiences working in Palliative care?
Cheers.
Re: AHP Team Lead Interview Questions
Hi,
• What do you know about the organisation.
• Where do you think this area (Palliative Care) might be different from your previous work areas.
• What challenges do you expect and how will you deal with them.
• How do you feel about Inter-/ Multidisciplinary team work/ ? prev. experiences.
• How do you look after yourself.
Just a few examples.
Good luck,
Fyzzio
Re: AHP Team Lead Interview Questions
Thank you Fyzzio,
Great question examples and I will have a good think about them. It is good to have any information that would be relevant for clinical practice and interviews for less mainstream areas of physiotherapy so I really appreciate you taking the time to reply.
Kind Regards.
