Masters courses after DPT

Hi everyone!

I came across this forum yesterday and it's a bummer I didn't discover it earlier. My question is regarding the Masters courses that we physical therapists can opt for after graduating. Through my clinical experience, I find manual therapy to be 'my thing', but then I think Neuro PT is amazing too because you see the results in patients and it's very satisfying. But then again.. I'm also inclined towards Osteopathy.
Basically, I'm very confused. I wanted to apply to Yonsei University in S.Korea but after going through some of the articles here, it seems like the quality of education isn't that great(?)
What do you guys suggest that I do masters in? And which of the english-speaking countries have comparatively less-expensive fees and living expense?

interesting, isn't it. There are so many areas Physios can work in, that the decision about where to go to next is difficult to make. Manual Therapy is never wrong, neither is Neurology - they both offer knowledge that is transferrable into other areas. And often, the Masters programme leaves you options to mix topics, e.g. you can chose a neuro rehab paper within your Master of Musculoskeletal Physio.

I don't know any country that offers cheap living AND good quality tertiary education.

Please don't forget to think about the country that you would llike to end up working in, as you need to check that whatever Master's degree you do is accepted in that country.

By the way, you talk about DPT - does that mean Diploma?
Master's degrees are based on a Bachelor's degree - do you have a Bachelor in Physio?

Yes! It really is interesting. I love how physical therapy is a young profession and we all can contribute so much to improve it. Oh! I didn't know we can mix topics like that at master level! I just hope I don't end up choosing the field that'll eventually bore me.. Because, I had a talk about this with a couple of fresh graduates of Masters in Neuro PT at my hospital and they said that they had to make the decision of choosing the field at the last moment and now after graduating and getting the job, they're sort of bored of the monotony and it's draining for them (tbh though, they weren't the 'dedicated' kind, I'll give you that~)

I didn't think about that, you're right. I'm actually very unsure about my future in that department ;)

And DPT is a Doctorate Physical Therapy, it's a bachelor's degree yes. It's a 5-year degree here in Pakistan and we get admission right after highschool :)
