Rotator Cuff Injury. Is swimming good therapy?
Hi there. My physio says that I have a 'Supraspinatus' injury. This was caused by some gym activity and continuing to go to gym despite pain.
I have been given various exercises to do with a band and a small weight.
He also advised swimming, and while doing so only using movements that cause no pain. I have not gotten into a pool yet as I'm not sure this is a good idea as swimming seems to incorporate the exact movements that aggravate pain for me.
Does anyone have an tips on whether getting into a pool is a good idea?
Many thanks in advance.

As you are suffering from ‘Supraspinatus' injury, it is better to take rest. Though, swimming can help you to stay fit for long, but it may increase the inflammation and pain in the muscles. You can also have inflammatory medication to reduce the pain.
