Potential Misconduct

Hi All,

I am writing here on behalf of my Girlfriend.

She has gone to a physiotherapist about her neck and shoulders, in the process of the session he massage her stomach and told her that after the massage she will now be much more fertile for the next few weeks (as a result of his massage) and will produce many more eggs, he also said her next period will be very different. He is only qualified as a physiotherapist and not a GP/ Gynecologist?? is this normal?
Confused as to why a session aimed at her shoulders has ended up at her lower stomach discussing her ovaries and sexual/reproductive health?

Anyone who could clear this up would be great. I was able to find one questionable study on the effect of massage on womens fertility, and it was done over the period of 20day for 4 hours a day of massage.

To be honest I would not be able to give legal advice on this suffice to say that it is not uncommon to do deep tissue release to the abdomen, which can be useful for various conditions. I suppose the question is what was the diagnosis of her issue and how did his treatment address that diagnosis. Perhaps the best way to get an answer on this if you did not want to get justification directly from the practitioner would be to make a gentle enquiry via the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. Although not necessarily making a complaint at this stage you might try that avenue to explain the situation as you have here and they would be able to provide some guidance as to the what you should do.
