Moving from US to UK

I have moved to the UK from the US and will be seeking employment on a part time basis in a few months after I get settled. I have already gotten my HCPC registration done and I am good to go. I have been working full time as a physiotherapist for 21 years. My patient care experience has been predominantly with elderly in home setting or nursing home. My last 5 years have been in management and utilization review. Would like to get some opinions from forum members about what type of position I should look for here. I really want to get back to doing patient care again and wonder if I should work in a hospital first so I can experience the U.K. system. Also wonder if I should go through a recruiter or look on my own. Any advice would be really appreciated.
