Hip pain due to osteoarthritis

Hey everyone over there! I am suffering from severe hip pain. My hip is very stiff as if I am not able to stand up that quickly as I was before! I went to our family doctor for a relief. He carried out an x-ray and he told that I may be suffering from osteoarthritis. After carrying out joint fluid analysis he confirmed that I am suffering from osteoarthritis. He gave me Acetaminophen which reduced the pain! I was planning to undergo physiotherapy, but my friend suggested to undergo treatment for osteoarthritis from a clinic in Toronto. She told me that in this treatment they use medical marijuana for healing. Is there any side effect involved in undergoing this treatment?
