Since it's known that weight gain affects only lumbar spine,,,affects also a manifesting herniated disc,,,,but never occurred to me that it can also affect the cervical spine until I heard recently about a physician advising a cervical patient that,,,,,or water retention has to be an important factor in both cases lumbar and cervical?
Is this a statement or a question. Weight gain in general leads to a less mobile spine (actively that is, not necessarily passively). Less thoracic movement would create an increase in cervical movement and loading and overtime I suppose one could propose a relative increase in load would lead to an earlier degradation of cervical structures.
