I have had achillies problems for over a year now. Have tried resting, friction, acupunture, orthotics. None of which have helped. I have now heard of Shock Wave Therapy and would like to try this out asap. The only down fall is I believe it is very expensive. If there are therapist in the London and Surrey area please could you contact me to discuss prices and treatment. All the best Kerry Anely

The Wimbledon Clinic of Natural Medicine offer shockwave therapy. Normally a maximun of 3 treatments are needed. If a treatment plan of 3 is brought cost would be £500 including consultation.
Pain is often reduced after the first treatment.

Shockwave therapy is a very succesfull treatment for achilles problems. On PubMed you can find a lot of interesting studies. I started as pt with shockwave (ShockMaster 500) half a year ago. And I have to be honoust, the results are very good. One small problem: there is no reimburse in NL. So patients pay between 25 and 50 € per treatment extra.
