wondering about the role of therapy assistants in treatment of CVA

Hi, I have been studing to be a TA and have an assignment which requires a brief description of the tasks of activities that an allied health assistant may be required to complete in the treatment of a CVA patient does anybody have any helpful hints?

Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) provide patient treatment which is planned and supervised by a Physical Therapist. These services help improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit additional physical damage associated with many types of injury and disease. PTAs utilize skills in anatomy and physiology, body mechanics, exercise and fitness, first aid, massage, and treatment methods such as ultrasound, hydrotherapy, and electro-stimulation, as well as patient care, communications, psychology, and computer technology.

The Physical Therapist Assistant also provides a vital link in the treatment and recovery chain by tracking and recording patients' progress during treatment and communicating patient responses and changes to the Physical Therapist for streamlining the overall treatment process.

I have an excellent PTA who works with me in acute and used to work in rehab. She does stretches, implements exercise programs, mobilises patients herself or assists with doubles (or triples!). Basically we tell her what we want her to do and what to work on and she implements the programs, which gives the patients an extra session of input each day.
