GUIDELINES FOR INDIAN THERAPIST TO ENTER UK
FOR ENTERING UK there r different ways to enter into uk.
-first is as a student visa, for this the requirements r
IELTS,tution fees around 7lacs, good sponser and he should just show his bank statements for the last 6 months and it should bear 7-10lacs.
Every physio PG course starts in sep and oct-for this u have to get ready already 4-5months prior arrangement
-second is:Work Permit visa, u should have HPC registration
and apply for the Hospitals in UK they will say u a closing date for every hospital application and we should send them the application before that, after this they will short list for interview usually our name itself will not come for shortlist, but luckly if its come then there will be a telephone interview date and after that if we r ok they will give us a Work Permit, with this we have to go to British High Commission,Chennai with
a good sponser as I had said earlier
-third Working Holiday Maker visa in this we should have
2,3,4 good sponsers who lives in UK bearing a work permit and they all should say that I will be responsible for this fellow, also u must convince the British High Commission that when u go to UK u can surely find a work to u for eg.by showing HPC certificate etc.,
-fourth Highly Skilled Migrant Programme visa, for which
we must be a post gradute with more years of experience
-fifth Dependent visa for those husbands and wife in UK
I can clear ur further doubts also. But one thing don’t mistake
me, for finding a job on our own is too hard and also we have spend a lot. But to our hard work there will be always proper wages will be recieved one day r the other. But we have to wait for the moment to come. Also you have to make the
final decision rather than others .:hat :hat

Re: GUIDELINES FOR INDIAN THERAPIST TO ENTER UK
Hello to all aspiring physios looking to work in the UK.
It is definetly a good choice to make as you have to consider various options when choosing the country you want to work and live. America and Australia are good but then you must be ready to take the exams and practicals and then go through the visa processing.
I have been in the UK for 2 years and now I am a senior 1 physiotherapist with the nhs. I can share my experiences of how i managed to get the job if anyone is interested.

Re: GUIDELINES FOR INDIAN THERAPIST TO ENTER UK
Hi
On a personal view, I would feel it is a difficult task to get a job in the uk as there are so many strict rules regarding work permit. It will be certainly worth a try as new rules would allow u 2 years work permit so this is a great oppurtunity. the key is a good standard of english and ability to adapt to the british culture.

Hi Everyone
Nice to have found a forum like this.
I am trying to get the HPC registration.
I am wondering if our english proficiency (from a country where the mother toungue is not English and having been tought in English in BPT) will be sufficient to get the HPC registration or I need to take the IELTS?
Regards,
Satya

Re: GUIDELINES FOR INDIAN THERAPIST TO ENTER UK
Hi My name is Dwijen. I am a physiotherapist from India. I have completed my bachelors in Physiotherapy and at present i am doing a job. Can anyone guide me exactly how an indian physiotherapist can get the HPC registraiton? Is it necessary to get the CSP (chartered society of phyiotherapists) registration also in order to get work in the UK? OR, is HPC registration sufficient to get work over there? Will it be a wise decision to try to come to UK at present in the first place? If not, which are the other foreign countries that are good and suitable for indian physios? I need to take a decision quickly regarding my future, somebody from the indian physios please guide me out, Thank you
Re: GUIDELINES FOR INDIAN THERAPIST TO ENTER UK
It seems to,me that, you enjoy' beating around the bush '
Make a concerted effort..on your own
Set a goal..and pursue..basic details..right at original sources
Don't ..be led by hearsays..!
You can browse through uk pt jobs on the internet
Down load the HPC from &go through in detail ,an do what is required
If you can enter Uk through some known contacts , you can get employment even without HPC regn & while in UK you can apply and get one
You can also fill in the HPC application in India , attach all what is required
and send along the payment , you will get your HPC regn certificate right in India
Once you have the HPC certificate , apply to jobs directly through internet
(direct employers) &you will get one.
Trust your direct efforts..
