Getting Registered in South Africa
Hi. My first post, so please bear with me.
I am a South African born female, lived in the UK for the past 10 years and trained as a Physio here. I am now moving to SA, and want to get registered with the HPCSA. I have been in contact with them, and will probably write my exam in September 2008.
What I want to know is - is there anyone out there who has successfully secured a job at a government hospital in SA, to complete the required supervised practice?
Is there anyone out there who has done the exams, and then not been able to secure a job to do the supervised practice??
I am hearing such conflicting information about working/ getting registered in SA and it all seems such a shambles! Does any one know the real deal??
ANY information in this regard would be much appreciated.
Thank you
Kirsty
Re: Getting Registered in South Africa
Hi there,
I'm living in South Africa keen to work as a physio but finding it difficult to find out exactly how to register and also, like you, very difficult to find out how easy it is to get work after th exams.
If you're still looking into this, have you found anything else out? I'm struggling to decide whether to try do the exam in Sept this year...
thanks,
lindsay
ps you can email me [email protected] if that's easier
