UK 3-year graduating physiotherapists
I need your help!
I have just graduated with a 1:1 last year after doing a 3 year course in UK. I was under the impression that it was internationally accredited and I good course. I want to work in the USA and now I find I cant because it wasn't 4 years? Is this true? Is there no way I can because it was a 3 year course?
Does anyone know how or even if I can work in USA or do I need to get a masters or something else? Please help! I'm pretty desperate right now
Re: UK 3-year graduating physiotherapists
Please look up or search the credentialling details on this forum.
I am not sure, but US and Canada are completely MSc or DPT for physio now, this may be the reason why.
However, since they have qualifying exams for clinical competency that really shouldn't matter, so it is a matter of having the course completed + 1000hours
I am sure you should still apply for the credentialling process.
Re: UK 3-year graduating physiotherapists
Hi Roberta,
I want to help you with your query - I don't know if you've made progress yet, so what I know may be old news.
I live in Connecticut, USA, but trained in the UK.
Let me know if you're still stuck....
Jodie :)
Re: UK 3-year graduating physiotherapists
Hi there Jodie,
I have recently graduated from the Universty of Nottingham, England. I am British UK Citizen
Following your previous post, please could you advise me on how I would go about applying for a USA post, and the requirements needed and where I would be able to find out about vacancies etc?
I look forward to hearing your reply,
Kind regards,
Mr Karsan
