Got Study Mnemonics? PCE/NPTE review/students
Hello Everyone:
I find use of Mnemonics (memory aids) very helpful in studying for a PCE exam I'm taking in November 2008. After being out of school and practice for a while, is sure hard to remember thousand of things without aids like mnemonics. I am wondering if you guys have some and would be willing to share them! To start, let me share you some I found on PT Secrets by Placzek.
"Lady between Two Majors"
"Lady" is actually "lati" referring to Latissimus Dorsi between two majors - pectoralis major and teres major. The proximal end of the humerus presents crests for its two tubercles, the greater and the lesser. Inserting onto the crest of the greater tubercle is the pectoralis major; inserting onto the crest of the lesser tubercle is the teres major. Latissimus dorsi inserts into the tubercular groove between the two tubercles, hence, lady "lati" between two majors.
"My Aunt Ravaged My Uncle"
- Branches of brachial plexus from lateral to medial
Musculocutaneous
Axillary
Radial
Median
Ulnar
"Say Grace Before Tea"
The pes anserina on the medial side of the knee is formed by three tendons that insert from anterior to posterior in this order: sartorius, gracilis, semitendinosus. This arrangement can be recalled by the letters in the mnemonics Say Grace before Tea for Sartorius, Gracilis and semiTendinosus.
So, what do you got????
