Canadian PT in USA
Hello,
I am a Canadian PT (from Vancouver -BC), I just got my USA green card and I thought that will not be any problem to work in USA. I sent my credential for evaluation with FCCPT and the reply was that I don't have enough credits to work in USA (Oregon). Any other Canadian in this situation? Or with a different experience then mine?

Re: Canadian PT in USA
Hi! I think that you need to study some units to match up with the curriculum in the United States. Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand have the same curriculum. I'm a Filipino Physiotherapist, and the good thing is my curriculum here is the same as in the USA. But the bad thing is my destination is Canada. Hope this helps. Message me for any concerns. Thanx.

Hi andreibotez,
I am now in the same situation you mentioned above, how did the process turn out for you? Did you end up getting the credits required? From where? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Re: Canadian PT in USA
So when they told you you did not have enough credits, did they not tell you how to obtain the credits?
I am a Canadian PT who recently went thru the re-registration process. They wanted me to take a certain number of credits over a certain period of time.
Which I did. Then took the Juricprudence exam.
In my case, they didn't care what the topic of the credits was, just that I had to have 40 of them. What was their exact wording?
(My case is subtly diferent from yours, as I had registered in the USA in 1990, but let it lapse, as I live and work in Alberta).
