Treatment for Piriformis Syndrome / Anterolateral thigh pain
Hi, I am handling a patient who complains of pain in the left PSIS and in the anterolateral aspect of thigh. However test for SI joint functions are negative. Pain relieves on giving an adductor stretch and the patient has a slight limp. Patient does not complain of any radiating pain or tingling numbness. No history of trauma.
I would request if any one can shed some light on how to approach such a patient.

Hi, Please give a detailed assessment to have a clear picture

I agree more info is needed. Please include your findings regarding assessment of the hip - particularly in regard to the quadrant position and special tests. From the limited info I would be thinking a hip problem.
Look forward to more info.
