The Origins of Cerebral Palsy

This consensus statement by the Australian and New Zealand Perinatal Societies discusses the origins of cerebral palsy. Evidence suggests that beliefs that CP is caused by inappropriate obstetric care are unfounded. This article suggests that the origins of cerebral palsy are likely to be antenatal.
