Does anyone know why it costs $550 to assess a paper application to sit the ACOPRA exam?!

Shouldn't the requirements be clearly stated and straightforward, and if not, shouldn't the onus be on the applicant to provide all the required information so that the reviewer doesn't have to do any work? Seems like a major money-maker to me.

I'm looking into getting my license here in Aus, but the whole system seems suspect to me. Is there any accountability in the exam? Who writes the questions and are the new questions verified as valid test questions through the process of examination?

Don't get me wrong, I hope that there's a reason for the exorbitant cost involved,(or a reason to change to cost involved) especially since the country is sorely in need of more physios.
