    Pleural effusion: does need chest physiotherapy?

    hello everyone

    while I working in Pediatric ICU the physcian ask me to do chest PT to infant 7 month old with pleural effusion in left lung
    and also has secretion in right lung
    infant has chest tube on left lung to remove fluid

    My question is : Can I use vibration or percussion techniqueson the right lung that has secretions ? (if No why)

    Yes no problem in doing chest physio for right lung. take care of chest tube on left lung and dont do physio there.
