    MSc Physio

    Taping
    Hello,
I'm wondering if massage and acupuncture are taught as part of MSc Physiotherapy courses? Or do you have to do extra training for them once you're registered?

    Re: MSc Physio

In Canada, acupuncture is a continuing education course. And massage, well you can pick up bits and pieces here and there in various courses, such as trigger point release or myofascial release techniques. Many practitioners come out of school knowing some basic massage techniques and can start with those right away.

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
    Hi,
in New Zealand, basic massage skills are part of the BSc programme. Acupuncture is taught in post grad courses.

MSc programmes are specialised - I don't think that any of them covers classic massage other than soft tissue release etc. in musculoskeletal clinical components (if you chose to take that paper).

    Regards,
