    Trigger finger

    Conservative treatmen is inefective.
    the patient will require surgery.
If the patient still pushes for conservative treatment you can do
    1) do a splint that will restrict mcp flexion of the affected finger.
    2) use iontopheresis with cortisone
    3) deep friction massage,

I tend to agree with Werner. It is most likely that a moderate trigger finger will require surgery. Have a look to see if there is any more widespread soft tissue issue that is contributing to the problem but then perhaps refer them on to a hand specialist.
