    Motor Outcome measures

We're developing a new acute stroke unit and are seeking an appropriate outcome measure for motor recovery. Would be interested in any suggestions/ what others are using... Thanks!

    re: Motor Outcome measures

I have used Trunk control test with acute strokes, and in the rehab phase I have used motor assessment scale, modified rivermead mobilty assessment, 10 metre walk and Massachussets functional ambulatory scale. Check Derek T Wade's book on outcome measures in neurology

Thumbs up Re: Motor Outcome measures

    Hi lizzmaycock

You can have a look at my post on neurological outcome measures. It is a pdf document which you can download and it has loads of outcome measures which you can use in the neurological clinical set up, for acute, recovery and rehabilitative stages.

You can find the document in the following link.

Hope it is closer to what you were expecting.
