If you google tetraplegia vs quadriplegia... you will many a webdiscussion on this very subject.

It seems a little like the confusion around physiotherapy and physical therapy (2 words for the same)
I have noticed that the term tetraplegia is often used to describe the symptoms after trauma and the term quadriplegia is often used to describe the symptoms of Cerebral Palsy.

I always found this discussion quite amusing.
Fact is, however, that tetra is the Greek word for '4' and quadri the Latin word for '4'.
Therefore, officially, there shouldn't be a difference at all.

in fact in Oman the two words are same , no diffrent at all.
