Maquet Osteotomy

Hi,

I am currently treating a patient who underwent a Maquet Osteotomy in July 2008 for treatment of a dislocating patella, wear and tear to the medial patella retinaculum and to essentially unload the patella.

This is not an operation i have seen before and i was interested if anyone else has seen this procedure and rehabbed it before.

My patient is doing well, has good healing, increasing range of motion but i am unsure about long term recovery, return to sports and when I can return him to impact activity. I feel he is ready now but i am having difficulty contacting the surgeon for the all clear.

Any thoughts?
