Major problem / Symptomatic Areas
Wrist, Hand - Posterior - Right
Wrist, Hand - Anterior - Right
i have pain in outer right hand: the attached 3D animation (mp4) shows exactly where the pain is and the two movements that cause it (wrist abduction, or arm reach with elbow flexion, even if the hand is straight). muscle tests on the digit result in no pain or disfunction.
after seeing GP and hand therapist i have been light casted & buddy strapped for 3.5 weeks with no noticeable improvement. i have had x-rays and ultrasound, the latter shows the tendon intact... results will be properly reviewed by an orthopaedic surgeon within 3 weeks.
pain actually began as an ache in the outer knuckle (metacarpo phalangeal), then spread to area shown over a few days as a very sharp pain with tightness in hand & finger, but only when performing those specific movements. unknown if the knuckle ache was related or a coincidence. first noticed pain when lifting weight at odd angle at gym, i also used right hand intensively for mouse/pc work, cause is not proven yet.
i am seeing a surgeon anyway but it would be good to hear opinions on what this condition could be, or if an MRI would help...
thanks in advance

The symptoms may of De Quervain’s Tendonitis or Ulnar Nerve Entrapment but ONLY your doc can give you the final analysis. Hang tough.
