    Amputee Functional Training

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
    Hi all,
I am looking for information on treatment practices for amputees of all levels. ie treatment for gait retraining, sit to stand and floor to stand activities. I am trying to figure out the best/most efficient way for different levels of amputees to complete such tasks. I realize it is variable among patients based on type of prosthetic etc, but I was hoping there is somewhere i could get some guidance to develop such tasks.

    Thanks!!!

    Re: Amputee Functional Training

This isn't quite the functional instructions, but it may be helpful as a start.
As you said, depending on the age and ability of the amputee, depends on what you are doing to work with them. But these exercises seem to be quite universal.
Hope thats an ok starting point!

    Re: Amputee Functional Training

    Thanks Sarah, those are great.

Does anyone have guidelines for functional training?

    Thanks!
