    Sudden Anterior Knee pain

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
    Hi,

I am physio of my local ffotball team and one of my players has injured his knee, any thoughts.

He played on Saturday and felt fine, no knocks, twists, giving way - basically nothing during the game to cause injusy.
Wakes up the next day and in alot of pain - pain felt when in full extension and contracting quads. pain localised to anterior knee along line patella tendon to quads, most pain felt at top of patella.

My assessment - slight swelling around knee, patella tendon inflammed, ligaments are normal.

    any thoughts?

    thanks

    Lauren
