Hi all,
I hope you're keeping well.
I am current away from the UK, which is the reason I'm hoping to get some advice online so that I can better tackle the issue myself before I do return back for medical attention.
I have 3 issues, however one most significant that I cannot work out is linked to the other 2. I go to the gym and do heavy lifting 5-6 times a week, I'm 30 now and I've been training on and off for about 13 years. Not professionally, just self taught (which I know is bad), and I've only just started stretching late 29.
I have started to notice on photographs my right shoulder is significantly 'collapsed' when compared to my left, I've uploaded a few photographs below. This feels like a natural pose when I'm taking photographs however when you look at it it looks very bad. People tell me you cannot see it in person, however on photographs it is very evident.
With regards to pain, I have a constant 'stabbing' pain in my left shoulder blade (the issue you can see if on my right shoulder). It almost feels like it's wedged deep in my shoulder blade and I've had it for a number of years, it's been getting progressively worse recently.
I do also have quite a lot of pain on my left hip, basically on the bottom of it underneath. When I do a squat position and kind of move my rear forward in to my legs while in the squat position, it can hurt a lot (almost that feeling like it's going to pop like a knuckle, but with a lot of pain, and it never does pop). After doing some stretches like this the pain usually goes away.
I am currently stretching nearly every day both legs and shoulders and chest, and I use a foam roller a few times a week. Can I ask if anybody knows what this issue could be, and what I should be doing with my time at the moment to help it with what I have available to me outside the UK?
May I also ask if anybody thinks this may require surgery? Thank you in advance I really appreciate it.
Many thanks
Mike
