Hi all

I'm after some advice about running practice software alongside accounting systems.

At present we run Wintaps for all our practice admin, and do accounts on excel. However I'd like to upgrade the accounting systems. We've looked at Sage and the like, but come up against the problem that to work fully, they all need you to do your invoicing through the accounting software? We obviously don't want to do this as we already run this through Wintaps.

We are a small business so don't require anything hugely complicated accounting-wise, and it needs to be user-friendy for inexperienced bookkeepers, however as far as I can see Wintaps won't give us an income / expenditure comparison, profit and loss capability? Unless I'm wrong about this?

So my questions are:

What do other practices do?
Could Wintaps do what I'm after - and if so how?
Is there a practice software that has accounting systems embedded?
Is there simple accounting software that might work alongside Wintaps without requiring a duplication of the invoicing?
