Question going abroad...good idea or not?? I need help!!!

I'm a U.S. student about to graduate from undergrad with a Bachelor's degree in Health Science Studies, pre-physical therapy, and I'm trying to figure out where to go next. I'm looking into either doing my Master's here in the U.S. or abroad, specifically in Europe or Australia. English is my first language, but I also speak French pretty well and have Swiss citizenship as well as U.S.

I've been doing a lot of research, but I would love to hear from personal experiences. So if anyone has any suggestions, advice,...I'd really appreciate it!! Especially on using a European/Australian degree in U.S. and vice versa.

Re: going abroad...good idea or not?? I need help!!!

    Hi Sandy!

Unfortunately I don't have any personal experience, but I know that there's a big gap in doctor's in general in Ireland. They don't have enough medical students at all and it's pretty easy to get into a university and even an internship there. As you're a native English you should consider this. Besides, I have been to Dublin for a week once and it a lovely place.

As far as the recognition of a Master abroad is concerned you I think you have to check this with your university and the university you want to attend abroad. Europe's standards have been pretty much adapted to the American ones, so I think your chances are good.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift, that's why we call it present. ;)
