New Zealand Registration for Indian Physiotherapist

Hello,
I am a Physiotherapist with a Degree of Master of Physiotherapy in Neurology from India. I am applying for PhD in New Zealand and would like to know following queries:
1) Is Indian Physiotherapy degree recognised in New zealand?
2) Do I need to register myself first before being enrolled in Phd program?
3) if yes, what is the process?

Hi,
as I understand it:
1) No - every applicant will be assessed individually; there is no general recognition of degrees.
2) I do not think so, unless you include working with clients. Best to discuss this with the university you are planning to enroll with.
Without registration you are not allowed to have any contact with any clients in any way and you are not permitted to call yourself Physiotherapist.
3) NZ registration is achieved through the application for registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand.
