Hello, could someone explain me the system of the bands, as far as I know the higher the band the higher the salary one get. But I haven't found anything about how physiotherapists progress to the next band ( is it experience of working, or CPD etc )

Thanks Tomas it is helpful but I'm interested if I, a freshly graduated physiotherapist (Master's degree), can apply for a band 6 job ?

    Hi there:-)

I'm afraid that it is often very difficult for a fresh graduate to apply for a band 6 job. Most trusts here in the UK require at least 18 months post-registration experience along with evidence of what you have learned during those initial months. A masters degree unfortunately won't give you many more points and its mainly the experience they are after.

Saying this however, you could still try. Am more than happy to be proved wrong but I do think you need to have more experience first.

    Hope this helps!
