Hi,
I have been thinking of my future career pathway (as performance appraisal is coming); in my second year & currently working in post acute/ community setting (public) & truly enjoy my work.
I am interested in fall prevention & management (incl Vestibular) ;chronic disease management (e.g. dementia); chronic + complex pain; orthropaedics. There are some physio areas that I have never really touched - Hydrotherapy, palliative & Lymphedema
I am not sure if gerontology / geriatric physiotherapy is a good pathway to go further, as I feel it is not very "specialised" compared to other fields. And realistically, it seems the demand of geriatric physiotherapists is not high?
Do you guys have any suggestions or comments?
