Hello! I am turning 25 y/o this November & I am in dire need of some guidance to help me. I have extreme chronic pain in almost all areas of my body & has been going on for at least 10 years.
It started when I was about 10-12 y/o & I was participating in synchronized swimming & my knees were so painful they had me wear braces in the water & out of water. Don't know what it was diagnosed as. By the time I was 15-16 y/o I had an anaphylactic shock & was given my epipen in my leg. So much adrenaline that my whole leg was shaking violently. After that incident I could not get out of bed for 3-4 months, or go to school or work or anything. I went to see chiro & he had me coming in 3-4x a week. Also was getting massages & the therapist said she had never seen someone my age with tightness like I had all over my body. Pain stopped for a bit in legs, but then moved onto wrists, arms, forearms, shoulders etc. As soon as one area was starting to get better another would flare up. Stopped seeing chiro after nothing was getting permanently better.
Since then I have been a hairstylist for the majority of the last 8 years, participated in competitive cheerleading, & succumbed injuries to my head from that & from synchronized swimming. At this point my doctor has tested for arthritis, had me undergo many ct scan/Mris, & had me see a nerve specialist & test for carpal tunnel, all have come up negative. I was put on t3s years ago, along with muscle relaxers & nothing has helped much at all. I have come to my wits end so my mom & I are going back to my family doctor yet again to try & get more answers as the pain has become unbareable, & I have also been losing elasticity in my hands & fingers, & my knees are constantly swelling up & causing so much pain. I have taken time off work, still have extreme pain. My family doctor has no clue what else to do at this point... What do you suggest I ask from her when I go into my next appt? Please help I am scared that by the time im 40 I won't be able to walk nevermind work
also I should add I have also tried acupuncture, years of physio, from different therapists, Massage therapy, three different chiropractors, & I used to be able to help my pain by doing excersizes, & stretches but now cannot do those anymore as It hurts too much..
