Hi, my name's John and I'm looking to get into a school for Physiotherapy assistants. I'm soon to be 23 years old and not getting on well with my current academic studies.
Having experienced injuries as an athlete I always looked up to this profession and making a living out of it would be a dream come true.
However, I'm really self conscious about my callouses. After years of gym-going, mandatory military service and martial arts I've developed callouses in the palm of my hands.
My skin is otherwise smooth funnily enough and the callouses themselves don't look hideous or anything but the skin is noticeably thicker there as one might expect.
Will it hinder my goal? Will it impact my ability to find a job after I get a degree? Is there specific hand-wear that one can wear to prevent this?
Thanks in advance.
