    fracture of little finger

    Must have Kinesiology Taping DVD
    hi,i recently had a patient with post fracture of little finger at the proximal end.he had a rod fixation and it was strapped for one week.nw the rod is removed.and his rom of flexion of tht finger is much affected.even his extension and adduction of that finger is also affected.plz advise me with sum ROMexercises ans strengthning programs.

    Note sure about your 'rod fixation'. Was this an external splint or an internal rod. I've not heard of an internal rod fixation that was removed after a week. Can you please provide a more clear explanation.

    In general I would just get the to do activities with one and both hands that involve opening and closing the whole had. You don't need to make it isolated to the little finger as even in a normal hand this can be difficult. Reassure then this is just take a little time.

    hi,thanks for ur reply.he had internal rod fixation which was removed after a month.now flexion of his little finger is much restricted.i hav adviced active movements of that finger and the hand too.
