Dear physios
I discussed with my boss, ex-spinal surgeon about the topic above yesterday.
I said,"Muscle power(Peroneus) of my patient who was diagnosed LSCS recovered
immediately from fair to good after the decompression manipulative physiotherapy
technique(MPT). And we physio dicide the way to go based on the clue such as
muscle power,sensation and reflex."
But my boss said,"Muscle power in chronic LSCS does never recover immediately after spinal surgery. Recovery of the muscle power does need a certain period of time."
Where do you think is there the difference of the common sense of physio and one
of spinal surgeon?
Could you explain to my doctor why muscle power recovers immediately after decpmpression MPT technique even in the chronic LSCS patient?
He would like to know why muscle power recover immediately after our technique.
It would be very appreciative that you could show me the articles that support
our decision making system by muscle power in the noted MPT textbook such as
Grieve's Modern Manual THerapy?

Best regards,

Novice PT
