If the knee is mechanically locked, it is very possible that the meniscus is involved. Checking that might be a good idea.
Hello everybody
I was doing a yoga class and we were doing a back twist - you sit one leg is bent and over the other leg, holding the bent knee and twisting with the chest to the opposite direction. Coming out of this pose, the lady next to me started yelling that she can’t straighten her leg, she was complaining of pain behind her knee. I supported her head trying to calm her down and gently massage her thigh, after a minute there was a pop and everything resolved (except of her emotional distress.)We used an ice pack however there was no immediate swelling (she stayed there for about 1/2 an hour).
What would you think it is? What steps will you take after this incident?
Thanks for your help

Yeah I was thinking meniscus as well. Perhaps reduce the knee flexion?
