    dear colleague to be....

I think it is wise that you look around and read a lot of the posts regarding cerebral palsy on this forum.
You have not told us how old your patient is.
A child is still in development and will need completely other care to an adult with CP.
There are various protocols but they all have in common that they start with assessing the problems first.
look, assess and set goals with your patient or with their parents or caregivers AND ask the people with experience around you. I do not presume that you will be asked to help a patient with a neurological disorder without some practical guidance.
Think functional, not in muscle strength but in functional strength.

    good luck

    Re: cerebral palsy

For cerebral palsy patients, physiotherapy is very helpful to improve movement and motor skills. Cerebral palsy is a physical disorder where the the brain's ability to control muscle movement is restricted. So here physiotherapy can do wonders in helping cerebral palsy patients gain mobility. Cerebral palsy physiotherapy techniques are determined by the degree of physical limitations of the individual, and what will be most beneficial to the cerebral palsy patient. The site might help you in deciding the techniques which you can use. Cerebral palsy - PubMed Health
