    Smile Neurological books..Help!

I have been working for a few years now and recentluy it has been mainly in out-patients. In a few months time I'm due to start a new job. Although it will be mostly outpatients again there is going to be a small element of ward work i.e acute stroke and also neuro outpatients i.e MS, stroke, spinal injuries ect. I would really appreciate it if anyone could reccomend a reliable, practical book that I could buy that would help brush up my knowledge and serve as a reference guide? There are quite a few out there and I really can't tell which ones will be usefull!!

    Thank you!!

    Re: Neurological books..Help!

    Hey,

I'm a final yr student so have plenty of neuro books kicking around!

My favourite is: Physical Management in Neurological Rehabilitation by Maria Stokes- covers every type of neuro condition you can think of! It's a really comprehensive book I got mine on Amazon.

    Re: Neurological books..Help!

Thanks a lot. I had noticed those books you've both mentioned on Amazon but without looking through them its hard to say if they are any good, getting a second opinon is a big help!

    Cheers

Try Neurological Rehabilitation by Darcy Ann Umphred. It is a very good choice. You can see its Table of Contents on amazon.
