    stress fractured rib

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
Has anyone experience/knowledge in rib stress fractures? I myself have a stress fracture to my 5th right rib laterally which I feel could partially be due to my work as a neurophysiotherapist. I continue to have pain and difficulties with ADL 8 months later. I am having thoracic transverse mobilisations for secondary thoracic stiffness and postural and core stability exercises. Any info on patients /physios with this and cause/treatment will be greatly appreciated.

    re: stress fractured rib

Go to www.altavista.com - search for "ribs stress fractures", and quite a few articles will come up about prevention and management. Sounds uncomfortable - hope you recover soon (and look at the way you use your body when working - are you using a lot of Wikipedia reference-linkBobath? Maybe go for Carr and Shepherd, or get someone to help you with the large patients ...).
