Hello everyone,
I had a decompression of the superficial peroneal nerve of my right foot 10cm proximal to the lateral malleolus in November 2009. Motor function of my foot has not returned and I have significant muscle shortening in my lower back and leg.
It is now suspected that I may have damaged the nerve root due to the tension of the entrapment of the peripheral nerve. I am wondering if these kind of injuries of the spine can usually be repaired to restore motor function. No doubt this depends on the extent of the injury, but I'm after a rough idea.
Thanks for any tips.
