Re: Tell me the difference between simple fracture and complex one

    Hi Alex,
As far as I know , simple fracture means a type which has no wound directly over the fracture site and thus it doesn't communicate with the exterior. And the another type, complex fracture means the one which is formed serious trauma to the skeletal system can involve ligaments, tendons, joints and multiple bones, and can include fractures caused from crushing, twisting, gun shots and other severe impact. Such kind of fractures require highly specialized surgical care at the time of injury and also may require subsequent treatment, as well.

Good day Alex.fracture can be said to be simple when a bone is fractured with little or no injury to the surrounding soft tissues and absence of obvious physical deformity.Complex fracture is characterised with communication fo the #ed segments to the skin surface with serious injury to the surrounding soft tissue(muscles, lig, major bld vessels + or - neural supply).and obvious physical deformity. Not satisfy u can consult Bailly and love books or google it at ur convinence.Merry Xmas.
