    Hello Every one

I have Question about if Physiotherapist allowed to request

X-ray to his patient in the hospital ?
or the request just done only by physcian ?

If there are rules or specific protocols regulate these?

    Please provide me.

    Re: X-ray request

Hi there. The policies on referring for x-rays and other investigations vary from country to country. In the UK a physio can refer for x-rays, Wikipedia reference-linkMRI, Ultrasound scans etc as they like into the private sector. The public sector probably don't permit it due to budget costs. The same was true when I was working in Australia. investigations we could NOT refer for were/are more invasive scans such as CT Scans, PET, SPEC, Bone scans and anything that required the injection or ingestion of a foreign (often radioactive) material.
