Major problem / Symptomatic Areas
Knee - Anterior - Left
Hello everyone,
I've already made a post in the general category, but afterwards figured this one might be more appropriate/have a higher chance at getting a response, so my apologies if this counts as spam. As for the problem, my left knee uncomfortably snaps every time I squat/flex my knee with an extended lower back. Its not immediately painful on its own, but after 20 pops or so in a row it starts to ache behind the knee. My physiotherapist assigned me some hip/knee stretches and stabilizers to use as warmups, but I figured I'd come here as well to see if anyone had a differing opinion. Below is a link to a gif of the knee-snapping in question, with some sort of visible shift over (what I think is) the fibular head, the video being taken sitting on the floor with an extended lower back, dragging my heel towards my torso. Looking for any info on what could be the cause of this unpleasant snapping as well as hopefully how to eliminate it so I can finally squat comfortably. Thanks in advance!
