I would interested in hearing from anyone, who has experience of workinf with a podiatrist and whether they found it valuable in combining the two treatment protocols

i have done joint clinics with a podiatrist on a regular basis and have gained good results and gained experience. parents welcome the two heads better than one treatment!

I am currently in the process of trying to set up a gait analysis and orthotic clinic. As the Chiropody service hold the budget for the orthotics they are very much involved. As yet we do not know how many of our patients will benefit from the podiatry input on the gait analysis, but I imagine it may be a large proporton. I hope to have the first clinic at the end of Feb 2001 so will let you know how valuable I feel the podiatrist is !
