    Decreasing tone

    Cerebral Palsy In Infancy
    Hello all,
I am a school therapist working with several children with a variety of abilities and distinct limitations. This is my first job and I am feeling a little overwhelmed. Does anyone have any good resources to share on therapeutic interventions to use to help decrease tone in children with cerebral palsy. I am looking for any help that I can get.

    Re: Decreasing tone

    dear Sasandra,

I can imagine you are overwelmed... have you got colleagues to help you?
Have you had any education in pediatrics?
Why do you want to decrease the tone?

By sitting down and reading all the posts, you will find a lot of information...on this forum
I would especially go to activity activity post.... en follow up on the information on About skillsforaction.com | skillsforaction.com

I would suggest you make treatment goals first....
then maybe you might want to decrease tone to do something, but maybe the child needs the tone to be able to function.

    Good luck,

    Esther
