    Obstetric Brachial Plexus Iijury assessment

    Cerebral Palsy In Infancy
    hi colleagues,

In our clinic we have lots of erb's cases.
in evaluation I check shoulder, elow, radioualnar and wrist motion.
however, it's too difficult to assess the neonate motion....

the assessment mainly based on the observation..

could you please provide assessment form for such cases????

because I have searched in web site but nothing

    All the Best,
    Maryam

Re: Obstetric Brachial Plexus Iijury assessment

    dear Maryam,

At this moment I know of one article on this subject, called Obstetric Brachial Plexus Palsy: Current Treatment Strategy, Long-Term Results, and Prognosis.
"There are no current clinical guidelines regarding obstetric brachial plexus palsy. In this article, therefore, the authors present the current state of knowledge in this area in the light of their own 15 years of specialized experience, during which they treated more than 1000 children. Further sources of information for this article were a selective and up-to-date review of the literature, input from neurosurgeons, and insights gained from international conferences on the subject."

If you copy paste the link here below, you should be able to access

Deutsches Ärzteblatt international: Obstetric Brachial Plexus Palsy: Current Treatment Strategy, Long-Term Results, and Prognosis (06.02.2009)

    kind regards Esther
