    Rebound therapy

Rebound therapy - I am a physio student and have observed and participated in the use of rebound therapy. On searching for evidence supporting or even indicating its use i have not found any relevent articles. Having used the usual sites, pubmed etc. can anyone surggest any articals, sites or alternative supporting evidence? Any suggestion greatly appreciated.

    Re: Rebound therapy

    Hi,
Rebound Therapy is the phrase used to describe special needs trampolining; the use of trampolines in providing therapeutic exercise and recreation for people with a wide range of special needs.
Participants range from mild to severe physical disabilities and from mild to profound and multiple learning disabilities.
The phrase was coined by the physiotherapist, head teacher and remedial gymnast - Eddy Anderson who developed the techniques in the 1960s. Eddy has been refining the techniques ever since and with his team, runs tutoring course all over the UK for physiotherapists, school teachers, care managers and trampoline coaches.
The website for Rebound Therapy in the UK is Rebound Therapy dot org

Prior to the formation of Rebound Therapy dot Org, very little published information was available for Rebound Therapy or special needs trampolining. This website now provides an opportunity for those involved to publish and share their experiences and for students and practitioners to find and request information. Details of training courses are also shown.
Eddy Anderson can be contacted by email via this site.
