    How to treat tight hamstrings?

    Physical Agents In Rehabilitation
    I have tight hamstrings and I don't know the best treatment some people say stretches but others say stretching won't work because of muscle memory and stretching will actualy makr them tighten up even more. What should I do? Also what are the effects of tight hamstrings? Please help me I am very concerned!

    You can choose to do nothing and nothing will change. The only true way to change your tightness is to exercise. any other passive treatment will not have any lasting results.

    The only proven way to make an improvement on your tightness is consistent exercise. Your tightness will not go away in a week or a month but it should improve slowly over the course of months if not years.

    there are many studies that say tight HS will lead to something but there are just as many that say nothing...I can tell you if you don't stretch you will end up being tight. More than that will produce a laundry list that you really don't have to worry about

    Hi,
    I guess you really need some prescribed exercises and massages pinpointing on the affected area. Have you tried consulting a physiotherapist?... Then, it's about time...just concern.
